SOUTH NYACK — To equipment up for a Dec. 17 referendum on whether to dissolve the village, inhabitants can hear a consultant’s investigation of the professionals and cons on Tuesday night.

The Board of Trustees hired the Rochester-dependent CGR for $18,000 to present insights on whether dissolving the village would be useful in conditions of house tax savings, law enforcement security, land-use choices, zoning enforcement, federal government effectiveness, and other companies.

CGR’s presentation is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. through Zoom. CGR representatives plan is to answer queries afterward. A South Nyack-Grand Watch Police Board meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m.

Inhabitants will vote on the referendum at The Dwelling Christ Church on South Broadway.

CGR’s site — The Future of South Nyack — provides information on the possible dissolution of a village integrated in 1878, which has its individual traditions and character.
