Police detain suspect after gun fired at Hub Apartments
TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD Information 13) – Tucson police officers have arrested a gentleman suspected of firing a gun at the Hub Residences in downtown Tucson.
Law enforcement reported Tuesday, June 28, that 23-calendar year-old Noah Smith was billed with the next felonies:
- Discharging a firearm at a residence.
- Misconduct involving a firearm.
- Narcotic drug possession.
Law enforcement cleared the college student housing apartment advanced right after a one gunshot was reported there at about 4:30 p.m. on Monday, June 27.
According to the interim criticism, a girl known as 911 and complained that Smith was banging on a doorway and “cocking” a gun on the fifth flooring. The caller claimed that Smith experienced performed this the working day beforehand, and she’d also called 911 then.
Smith was reportedly associated with an apartment close to hers.
The caller explained she noticed him standing in the hallway, where by he cocked the doorway even though hunting at her. When she closed the doorway, she explained, the gun went off.
Protection video clip reveals Smith working to the stairwell and hiding the gun in a hearth extinguisher cabinet on the seventh floor. He was observed outside the intricate and refused to give a statement.
Law enforcement say they also uncovered 23 grams of cocaine and $1,200 on Smith.
Authorities say they searched the sophisticated and discovered no injuries or threats to the community.
Law enforcement say there is no sign Smith is a resident at the flats but could have acquaintances inside of the complex. He is at this time booked in Pima County Jail.
