Man charged with taking $5K in home improvement scam
BLAIR COUNTY, Pa (WTAJ) — Law enforcement have arrested a guy who allegedly took $5,000 for a dwelling enhancement venture that he never did.
Ronald David Snyder, 59, was arrested, immediately after reportedly having revenue to re-aspect a man’s residence in August 2021.
According to law enforcement paperwork, the target stated that Synder necessary $5,000 for elements and a different $4,200 for the labor. The home-owner agreed and compensated $5,000 for components but Synder by no means returned to do any of the function.
The home owner contacted the business the siding was intended to be requested from and was explained to that Synder experienced never purchased any components on behalf of the home owner. Soon after acquiring out, the target contacted the police. Synder then contacted the victim asking for much more time to get the revenue back again to him, as he understood the police were searching for him.
Synder experienced his preliminary arraignment Wednesday, April 27, and is scheduled to have his preliminary hearing on Tuesday, May well 3.

Synder was charged with felony theft and is currently out on unsecured bail.
