Amid marketplace demand, industrial shell creating settlement hits SEDCO

The SEDCO board of directors has passed a program of work for that includes a focus on entrepreneurs, women-owned and minority-owned businesses.

Lately, Sherman Financial Produce Corp. has been receiving significant interest in organizations prepared to go to Sherman, but only if the town has pre-built internet sites out there. Nevertheless, the city’s inventory of existing structures is limited.

So in an effort to satisfy field need, SEDCO Board of Directors voted on Tuesday to approve  $105,000 arrangement with Alliance Architects for design of a new 79,000-sq.-foot industrial setting up in an exertion to stimulate area enhancement.

“We get calls every week from web-site consultants, organizations and existing firms that are on the lookout for existing properties and we have none,” SEDCO President Kent Sharp mentioned. “We could have some alternatives open up in the foreseeable future, but proper now we have none.”

The proposed building would be developed in both the Progress Park I or Progress Park V industrial park, which at present have 11 acres and 83 acres of land prepared for advancement, Sharp explained.
